D2 and changed plans

I've gotten addicted to Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Wheee.... A bit late, perhaps. And I'm not doing that dumb online stuff. Overleveled people with overpowered equipment. Turning a decent RPG into Pokemon "Gotta get the whole set." Oh, and Tony is using Colleen's CD-Key (and I used the same one to install it on my laptop).

But all in all, it's a pretty good game. I'm playing a Ice/Lightning Sorceress. Encounted a bloody Cursed Cold Enchanted Minion down on Jail Lvl 2. Oy!! Died 3 times already and only stopped dying because I had to go to a tabletop. ~.~

I figured out the reason why I like it so much. It's like Nethack, only without the really bitchy part of having to buy/find food! Random levels, hunting down through catacombs... It's fun!

Yesterday was... different. The origional plan was something along the lines of: take Bex to work, pick her up a couple house later, catch a matinee of Matrix, go to Phillips for fancy desserts, then go to game.

Instead: Caught lunch at the mall, sat around reading at Lenscrafters, H&M, and other while she dealt with getting contacts. Three hours of tedium later, we went home. Far too late to even try to catch Matrix. Then to Phillips... which sells desserts that are not worth the cost. It's pretty good, but they just can't balance different tastes at all. Bex's cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps tasted like peppermint not like cocoa at all. My mocha moose torte (or whatever) was very very mocha... which a frosting on the edge that was so chocolaty that it overwhelmed any other taste. *siiiiiigh* I'd rather go get a Volcano from Don Pablo's.

Ah, well.... Maybe I'll actually get to spend a day with Becky this weekend before her mom shows up.
