10 leap years since one small step

I think it's a little weird that people don't find the fact that someone walked on the moon awesome. The JFK Presidential Library has been running twitter accounts and a Shoutcast feed of Apollo 11.

@AP11_CAPCOM: We copy you down, Eagle.
@AP11_EAGLE: Houston, Tranquility Base here.
@AP11_EAGLE: THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
@AP11_CAPCOM: Roger, Tranquility. We copy you on the ground. You got a bunch of guys about to turn blue. We're breathing again. Thanks a lot.

And I find this one kind of amusing...

@AP11_CAPCOM: There's lots of smiling faces in this room and all over the world.
@AP11_EAGLE: Well, there's two of them up here.
@AP11_SPACECRAFT: And don't forget one in the command module.

We'll try not to forget you, Michael Collins, flying round and round while those other two guys get the glory.

Accounts Separated

Well, LoudTwitter has suffered a hard drive failure. It may or may not return. Hm.

This means that my random short thoughts, links, and quotes have not been appearing on LJ (and thus on my Facebook page). I've looked into a couple ways to fix this. I could write a custom script that duplicates LoudTwitter's functionality. Or I could ignore it. This is the option I'm going for at the moment, as it's the easiest.

If you want to check out the random stuff I come up with to say to the Internet, check out my Twitter page. If you're really interested, you can get an RSS feed from that page, or get a Twitter account and join the 17 people who are following me.
